WWFlashDetector.exe
Flash Player Version Detector

Name

WWFlashDetector.exe

Version

1, 0, 0, 1

Synopsis

Use WWFlashDetector.exe to view the version of the Macromedia Flash (Shockwave) player installed on your computer.

Description

Since it is difficult or impossible to use your Web browser to determine the version of the Macromedia Flash (or Shockwave) player installed on a Windows computer, I created WWFlashDetector.exe to do the job.

Because WWFlashDetector.exe is self contained, it requires no installation. Simply copy the program file into any convenient location, such as your Windows desktop, and launch it.

When you download and run this, or any other program, you may see one or both of the following warning messages.

The second of these warnings will go away when I reinstate my code signing certificate and use it to digitally sign the program.

Note: Neither of these warnings happens unless you run the program from inside your Web browser.

In a second or two, the program displays one of two messages on your screen.

Contents of This Package

The dowlnoad package consists solely of the program itself, ready to use.

For Advanced Users Only! You may run WWFlashDetector.exe from anywhere, though placing it in a directory that is on your MS-DOS PATH allows it to be run from anywhere on your computer, from the Run box or a command prompt.
