Privacy and security are serious matters to us. This is what we do:

• We analyze our Web server logs. We primarily use summaries which disclose only the domain name of your ISP and are aggregated. We cannot identify individual visitors from these reports.
• We may retain your E-Mail address if you contact us directly or through the links on our site.
• If you follow a link from our site to Amazon or another commercial site with whom we have an agreement, a code is sent along that lets them give us credit for your purchase. This code is a part of the link itself. We do not need to set a cookie on your computer, though they will do so.
• If you follow a link from our site to another site, we may use a little JavaScript to open the link in a new browser window. This lets you keep a virtual finger on your place in our Web site while you browse the other site.
• If you follow a link that opens a Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat document, we will use a little JavaScript to open it in a new browser window.

We do not do any of these things:

• Give or sell your E-Mail address to anybody. Your name is your property. You gave us only permission to use it to contact you. Of course, if you register for a mailing list that we manage on behalf of someone such as the Dallas Chapter of NAWIC, we shall send notices on their behalf. Even so, we keep your information here and use it only for the purpose for which you gave it to us.
• Bombard you with junk mail in any form, electronic or postal.
• Drop spy programs on your computer.
• Set cookies in your computer.
• Install or run Java applets or ActiveX controls on your computer.
• Run VBScript or JavaScript in your browser except to open new windows or do other harmless stuff to improve your browsing experience.
• Deposit any kind of program or document on your computer unless you request it by following a link.
• Follow you around after you leave our Web site to see where you go.

We are not responsible for the records others such as Amazon may keep about you or your visit to their site. We strongly encourage you to carefully read the privacy statements of all the sites you visit. If they say that they may do something, you should assume that they will do so, and act accordingly.

We promise to gather only enough information about you to enable us to provide you the services you have requested from us, and to safeguard that information to the best of our ability.
